Executive Leadership Training

Here is exactly how we work with your organization, from the first phone call to the follow-up coaching sessions three months after the program ends.

The six steps of our process

We designed this process after running over 60 engagements and noticing which steps made the difference between programs that changed behaviour and programs that were forgotten by the following quarter. Each step has a clear deliverable, a defined timeline, and a specific person responsible on both sides.

1

Discovery call

We start with a 45-minute phone or video call with whoever is sponsoring the program: typically the CHRO, VP of HR, or CEO. The goal is to understand what triggered the need. Was there a failed initiative? A leadership transition? Feedback from an employee engagement survey? We ask pointed questions about the team's size, reporting structure, and the specific behaviours you want to change. This call is free and carries no obligation.

Within two business days, we send a brief summary of what we heard, along with a preliminary recommendation for which modules fit. If the fit is wrong, we say so and, where possible, refer you to someone better suited.

2

Leadership assessment

Before we design anything, we need to understand where each participant stands. We use a proprietary 360-degree assessment tool that collects anonymous feedback from each leader's direct reports, peers, and their own manager. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and covers five dimensions: strategic thinking, communication clarity, conflict handling, delegation habits, and coaching frequency.

We compile the results into individual profiles (shared only with each participant and the program sponsor) and a group-level heat map that shows where the collective strengths and gaps are. This heat map drives the program design.

3

Custom program design

Using the assessment data, we select modules, sequence them, and write custom case studies that mirror your industry and organizational context. If you are a Quebec-based manufacturer dealing with supply chain disruptions, the case study will involve a Quebec-based manufacturer dealing with supply chain disruptions. We don't use generic scenarios.

The design document includes a detailed agenda for each session, pre-work assignments, and the evaluation criteria we will use to measure whether the program achieved its goals. You review and approve this document before we proceed.

4

Program delivery

Programs run as either intensive blocks (two or three consecutive days) or spaced sessions (one day per week over four to six weeks). The spaced format works better for teams that cannot step away from operations for multiple consecutive days. It also allows participants to practise new skills between sessions and bring real situations back to the group.

Each session blends short instructional segments (never longer than 20 minutes) with structured exercises, role-plays, and facilitated discussions. We record key discussion points and decisions on shared boards so nothing is lost after the session ends.

5

Individual coaching

Within two weeks of the final group session, each participant receives a one-on-one coaching session (60 minutes, virtual or in-person) with the lead facilitator. This session focuses on the participant's individual assessment results and how they showed up during the group exercises. We identify two or three specific actions they can take in the next 30 days and agree on how to measure progress.

6

Follow-up and measurement

Ninety days after the program, we run a shortened version of the original 360-degree assessment to measure change. We compare the before-and-after data and present the results to the program sponsor in a 30-minute debrief. This is where we see whether the training actually shifted behaviour or whether additional intervention is needed.

If the data shows persistent gaps, we recommend targeted follow-up: usually one or two additional coaching sessions for specific individuals, not a full program repeat. We charge for follow-up only if you choose to proceed.

What makes this process different

Participant taking notes during a leadership workshop

Most leadership training providers deliver a fixed curriculum. They have a two-day workshop, and every client gets the same slides and exercises. We build each program from the assessment data, which means no two engagements look the same.

The measurement step at the end is the part most providers skip. It is also the part that matters most. Without a before-and-after comparison, you have no way to know whether the investment produced a return. Our 90-day reassessment gives you concrete data to report to your board or executive committee.

We also share the full methodology and assessment tools with your internal HR team. After working with us once, your organization has the capability to run lighter-weight versions of the assessment internally. We don't create dependency.

Typical engagement timelines: the discovery call and assessment phase takes two to three weeks. Program design takes one week. Delivery depends on the format you choose. The full cycle from first call to 90-day follow-up is usually five to six months.

Frequently asked questions

We cap cohorts at twelve. If your leadership team has more than twelve members, we run parallel cohorts with separate facilitators and bring everyone together for a combined exercise on the final day. The largest engagement we have run involved 34 participants split across three cohorts.

Yes, though we recommend at least one in-person session. The role-play and conflict-resolution exercises work best when people are in the same room. For fully virtual delivery, we use breakout rooms and structured video exercises to approximate the in-person dynamic as closely as possible.

Each participant is assessed by five to eight raters: their direct reports, one or two peers, and their own manager. The survey contains 42 questions across five dimensions and takes about 15 minutes. All responses are anonymous. We compile individual profiles and a group-level summary. The tool has been validated with over 1,200 Canadian executives since 2018.

Pricing depends on the number of participants, the modules selected, and whether delivery is on-site or virtual. A typical two-day program for a cohort of ten costs between $18,000 and $28,000 CAD, including the assessment, custom case-study development, delivery, individual coaching sessions, and the 90-day follow-up. We provide a detailed quote after the discovery call.

We do. About 40% of our clients are based outside Quebec: mostly in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. For out-of-province engagements, we typically deliver the intensive sessions at your location and conduct the individual coaching virtually. Travel costs are included in the quote.
